Archer Aviation and United Airlines Collaborate to Provide Air Taxi Service in Chicago
Archer Aviation and United Airlines have joined forces to introduce an air taxi service in Chicago, connecting O’Hare International Airport to Vertiport Chicago. The electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft will transport passengers in just 10 minutes, making it an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional transportation.
The air taxi has a range of 100 miles and a top speed of 150 miles per hour, and will be produced in Archer’s Covington, Georgia, factory. The service is expected to commence in 2025, and it is United’s second air-taxi route, following its investment in eVTOL manufacturers Archer and Eve Air Mobility.
